Irish Jamboree 2008


Jambo! Dia Dhuit! Bienvenue! Guten Tag! Hello!
Jamboree 2008 will celebrate the Centenary of Scouting in Ireland, and they are leaving no stone unturned in making this Jamboree an outstanding and exciting experience for all of you lucky enough to be attending. Over 10,000 Venturers, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers from Ireland and beyond are coming together at Punchestown in County Kildare for what promises to be a magnificent experience. The Jamboree team have a wide range of exciting activities and events organised to take place during what will be an action-packed Jamboree.

The monthly newsletter "The Jam.." which will give you all the goings on behind the scenes in the build up to the Jamboree.

The Jamboree will consist of:

  • 6 Provincial Sub Camps
  • A Cub Camp
  • A Venture Scout Sub Camp
  • A Staff Sub Camp
  • A Staff Family Sub Camp
Scouts and guides from overseas will also attend and add that international dimension to the Jamboree experience. they do hope your group can join us. If you are interested in joining in the adventure then contact us and let us know you would like to attend. You can do this on-line. They can then update you with all current information about the Jamboree and later you can make a final booking and sign up to attend.
